Privacy
CloneWatch is run by Anthony Jackson (AJ Software) in the United Kingdom. This page says what it keeps and why, in plain English.
What CloneWatch stores
- Your email address, to sign you in with a one-time link or code and to send alerts. There are no passwords.
- The apps you watch and the scan results: public store information about your app and the apps it is compared with, and saved copies of their icons and screenshots as evidence.
- Dispute details you choose to enter (name, company, address, phone, trademarks), used only to fill in your dispute packs, and a dated copy of each pack you mark as filed.
- Your plan and, if you pay, a Stripe customer reference. Card details go to Stripe and never reach CloneWatch.
- A push token if you turn on alerts in the phone app.
Who processes it
- Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, London region).
- Vercel (hosting the website, and counting page visits anonymously: no cookies, nothing that identifies you).
- Resend (sending sign-in and alert emails).
- Anthropic (comparing the public store descriptions of your app and possible copies; no personal details are sent).
- Stripe (payments) and Expo (phone notifications).
What CloneWatch does not do
- No advertising, no tracking cookies, no selling or sharing your data.
- Nothing is ever submitted to Apple or Google on your behalf.
Your rights
You can see, correct or delete your data at any time. Removing an app deletes its scans and evidence. To delete your account and everything in it, email anthony@ajsoftwaredev.org from the address you sign in with. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
